History

River Inn is Miami’s oldest hotel, composed of several buildings in the South River Drive Historic District. In an area previously referred to as “Riverside”, today it is a vibrant co-living space and bar cultivating the charm of the original Inn. This cluster of pastel colored structures are located in East Little Havana, adjacent to the Miami River.

Originally built as a Victorian boarding house in 1908, for tourists and new residents who desired to be close to Down Town, these four wood Frame Vernacular houses have been historically preserved by developer Avra Jain and her team. The entire property has been upgraded with modern convenience for hotel operators, ROAM, and an acclaimed food & beverage concept, Casa Florida.
